Northwestern Library has been rebinding its Congressional Serial Set volumes because, well, they look like this. They were bound with lambskin, which eventually begins to rot and come off in thick red dust when touched. The newly bound volumes are a beautiful, shiny new navy blue with gold lettering, but they're just not as photogenic as these. Maybe in another century or so.
