Look at those chunky arms and big belly! I love how the squirrels get so chubby at this time of year. Their coats get so glossy, stretched over their big bellys, they seem like totally different squirrels than the ones running around in the spring. But this squirrel, well, he was even big for a late autumn squirrel. He also had a short stubby tail, which made him seem even fatter. I had to chase him all over to get this picture, and it doesn't even show off his winter fat as well as some of his poses, but it was the best I could capture!
